The final evening of Mom’s memorable two-week visit was spent sharing one last dinner together on a rooftop in Squamish Desiree & Atlas place, surrounded by beautiful mountain and lake views. Together with daughter Ronna & Desmond, granddaughter Desiree & son Atlas, and son Christian, we enjoyed a wonderful Japanese dinner filled with laughter, great family stories, and quiet, priceless family moments.
Mom’s two-week visit was spent with going to beautiful places, different local restaurants offering delicious food, laughter, adventures, and precious quality time with family. At 90 years old, she checked another item off her bucket list – climbing mountains and exploring places she had only ever read about in magazines. Seeing her enjoying these adventures with excitement, courage, and being with family was truly exceptional and inspiring.
During her stay in British Columbia, Mom visited Sp’akw’us Feather Park, Squamish Canyon, Porteau Cove, Shannon Falls, Whistler Olympic Village, Stanley park and Gastown in Vancouver, and Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf in Richmond, accompanied by Ronna & Desmond, Desiree & Atlas, and Christian. Every destination gave her another beautiful memory to bring home.
Mom spent most of her time in Squamish with daughter Ronna & Desmond, granddaughter Desiree, and great-grandson Atlas, enjoying precious family moments and the beauty of Desiree & Atlas’s newly acquired, beautifully built home.
From the beautiful places of Squamish, Whistler, Vancouver, and Richmond to mountain adventures, breathtaking views, delicious meals, and endless laughter-every moment became a memory to treasure.
