9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV
Not even man’s best imagination about heaven, can come up with the best description of the new, earth, its beauty, dimensions, topography and inhabitants. So let’s just be content with what St Paul wrote. The 27th Seventh-day Adventists Fundamental Beliefs is the following. “On the new earth, in which righteousness dwells, God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed, and a perfect environment for everlasting life, love, joy and learning in His presence. For here God Himself will dwell with His people, and suffering and death will have passed away. The great controversy will be ended, and sin will be no more. All things, animate and inanimate, will declare that God is love, and He shall reign forever. Amen.
WHAT WILL THE NEW PARADISE LOOK LIKE?
“The first two chapters of the Bible tell of God’s creation of a perfect world as a home for the human beings He created. The Bible’s last two chapters also speak of God’s creating a perfect world for humanity—but this time a re-creation, a restoration of the earth from the ravages sin brought.” In the first earth, God placed the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil thus the possibility of the first humans to sin. But in the restored earth
where the redeemed will dwell with the Redeemer, God promised that sin will never rear its ugly head again. It has been cleansed by the everlasting fire that consumed Satan and his angels along with the wicked people who chose to follow him. All the things that reminded man of sin will be obliterated, and the world will become new again. This is the Paradise regained. There in that world, the Bible says in Revelation 21: 4 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
I would like to share what one Christian writer wrote about this regained paradise. “There, immortal minds will contemplate with never-failing delight the wonders of created power, the mysteries of redeeming love. There will be no cruel, deceiving foe to tempt to forgetfulness of God. Every faculty will be developed, every capacity increased. The acquirement of knowledge will not weary the mind or exhaust the energies. There, the grandest enterprises may be carried forward, the loftiest aspirations reached, the highest ambitions realized; and still there will arise new heights to surmount, new wonders to admire, new truths to comprehend, fresh objects to call forth the powers of mind, and soul and body”
In the new earth, we can build our country homes, and never have to sell them, plant gardens and not be worried about pests eating them. We will know our friends and not forget where we met them, and go on excursions to other worlds where we could meet Enoch, Elijah or Moses. How about that for being saved?
Friends, God invites us to be there. Shall we accept His invitation?
