Art Vancouver 2026 was held at the Vancouver Convention Centre on May 28 to 31, 2026, it showcased a collection of contemporary artworks, featuring over 60 exhibitors and artists from all around the world.
Among the talented exhibitors were Filipino Canadian artists who proudly shared their works, reflecting the beauty, passion, and creativity of Filipino art and talent.
Contemporary visual artist Karissa Narukami showcased her unique artworks at the recent exhibit, celebrating creativity, culture, and individuality.
As a Filipino Canadian artist with autism, Karissa continues to inspire through her passion and artistic expression. For this collection, she explored watercolour, drawing inspiration from the colours of the Philippine flag and the gentle beauty of spring flowers.
Karissa hopes to share her art with more places around the world, including Vienna, Austria, and especially the Philippines—her mother’s homeland.
“If I can do it, so can you.” – Karissa Narukami
Grace Cuenca, a Chemical Engineer and geometric artist, showed how science and art can work together. Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD), she creates detailed and fascinating geometric artworks. She shared, “When I started doing things, I just let it flow,” reflecting her natural and creative process.
Melanie Payumo, a Kapampangan pride and Filipino Canadian visual artist, continues to impress with her meaningful, colourful, and mystical artworks.
