Kaye Abad celebrates Cancer Survivors Month: ‘We are strong. We are survivors’

Kapamilya actress Kaye Abad is celebrating Cancer Survivors Month alongside the millions of survivors across the globe this June. In her Instagram post, the celebrity mom shared how challenging the journey was but continued to choose hope and fight the battle with the illness.

The National Cancer Survivors Month is held every June and honors all those who have survived the deadly illness while continuing to raise awareness following their survivorship — physical, emotional, and financial.  

Kaye previously revealed through a vlog last May that she was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2025 and has already been declared cancer-free by her doctor.  

“It’s cancer survivors’ month. 🤍 We celebrate every survivor, every scar, every silent battle, every tear, every prayer, and every victory. What we went through was never easy, but here we are… still fighting, still standing, still choosing hope,” she wrote.

In her post, the Kapamilya actress is hopeful that people will not lose faith in overcoming their battle against cancer. 

“To everyone who continues this journey, know that your strength inspires more people than you realize. And through it all, let’s always remember that God is there 🙏🏼 holding our hands during the hardest days, giving us strength when we feel weak. Never lose faith,” she maintained. 

“Here’s to life, healing, courage, and second chances. Let’s continue to fight together. We are strong. We are survivors,” she ended.

Friends and fans of the actress sent their words of comfort and celebrated with her in the comment section of her post. Other netizens maintained that they will continue praying for her health.

In the previous vlog, Kaye recalled how she decided to undergo a mammogram after experiencing prolonged abdominal pain in 2024. She received the results, and her doctor noted that there were symptoms associated with breast cancer.

“While the doctor was talking, parang lumulutang ang mga words na sinasabi niya. Parang hindi ko ma-absorb. Ang clear lang sa akin is yung sinabi niya na from the photo of the mammogram it’s 95% malignant,” Kaye said in her vlog.

Kaye sought treatment in Singapore, where she was accompanied by her husband, Paul Jake Castillo. She was then finally given the good news as she was declared cancer-free and is a survivor of the illness.  (D. Acierto/Push.com)
