Kapuso actor Kelvin Miranda admitted that he still has not moved on from the sudden death of his father.
Kelvin posted on his social media account about the vehicular accident that claimed the life of his father, Patricio Miranda.
The actor opened up during the story conference for his new film, “Crawlers After Dark,” the first venture of Z Studios Productions, written and directed by Ralston Jover.
Kelvin said he is thankful that after the TV series “Sang’gre,” which coincided with his father’s demise, this new film project came along.
He said he has to work and move on.
At the same time, he wants justice for the vehicular accident that caused his father’s death.
He and his family are pursuing the case against the driver who allegedly bumped his father’s motorcycle.
“We’re pursuing the case because that’s the only justice – the last one – we can do for our father,” the actor said.
“My father wasn’t there anymore in the scene of the accident when I got there… but in the morgue already.
“Not even in the hospital.
“This fight has been so stressful for us,” Kelvin admitted.
“I hardly felt that driver’s remorse.
“It was as though it didn’t happen… and nobody died.
“They said ‘sorry’.. and asked for a settlement… they had the money, being the owner of the catering.
“We didn’t expect the accident to happen. All we expected was sympathy from them.
“Not even wreaths of condolences from them…
“We weren’t rude to send them away… We’re not,” he continued.
Kelvin and his family are still grieving. Keeping himself busy with a new project somehow serves as a consolation.
He said he likes his role in “Crawlers After Dark” as a member of the Termite Gang.
“This is quite new, different from roles I’ve done… its storyline is edgy,” he added.
“It’s not an inconsequential issue.
“It’s about a real person who’s going through hard times and making unconventional choices in life.”
Kelvin is joined in the film by Cherry Pie Picache, RK Bagatsing, Zaijian Jaranilla, Teri Malvar, Ruby Ruiz, Marnie Lapuz and new actor Adrian Araneta. (G. Rula/ Malaya)
