Friends of Cristine also sent their congratulatory messages in the comment section.
“Every timeline led here. endgame unlocked,” she wrote in the caption, while including a ring emoji.
Based on the photos, Cristine and Gio took some time off their busy schedules as they explored Hong Kong. The actress and the former commissioner of the National Youth Commission were seen smiling beside each other in some of the photos, while some were focused on her hands where she could be seen wearing a ring.
“Congratulations, Aa,” Karel Marquez expressed.
“So happy for u! Congrats,” Carmen Soo added.
“OMG!!! Prayed for this really @cristinereyes & @giotingson !!! Love you both my friends!” talent manager Noel Ferrer expressed.
In her Instagram Stories, Cristine reposted the story of Raffy Magno–– Gio’s friend and the executive director of Angat Buhay–– congratulating them.

Cristine’s surprise announcement was met with delight from her fans as they also commented on her post.
This isn’t the first time that the couple have gone on a trip out of the country together. Back in 2025, the two shared some photos from Vietnam.
In a recent interview with Isabelle Daza, Cristine briefly shared a story about her unnamed partner and how they met in the past at a school fair. She recalled how she was in a marriage booth with her partner’s batchmate and he was the priest “officiating” the ceremony,
“Hanggang ngayon, may bubog siya sa akin. Tapos sabi ko sa kanya, hindi talaga tayo magiging tayo noon kasi we’re meant to be now,” she shared.
Cristine’s last public relationship was with actor Marco Gumabao. She was previously married to Ali Khatibi, with whom she shares a daughter, Amarah. (A. Acierto/abs-cbn)
