Bela Padilla clarified that she has no involvement in her uncle Robin Padilla’s political affiliations and had no role in his casting in the television series “Blood vs Duty.”
On Thursday, May 14, Bela took to her X account to address the issue X after receiving questions from followers following Robin’s addition to the cast of the ongoing primetime series.
“Because of recent events, and since I’m being asked daily, I wish to express my thoughts,” she wrote.
The actress shared that while Robin had been kind to her family growing up, their relationship changed as their careers took different paths.
“Our ideologies also differed,” she wrote, adding that she had not seen her uncle for three years before they recently worked together on set.
Bela also clarified that she had no authority in casting decisions for the project and explained that producers made the decision independently.
She emphasized that being related does not mean they share the same beliefs.
“We are related, but we manage to agree to disagree,” she said.
