Vancouver, BC — The United Filipino Canadian Associations in British Columbia (UFCABC) has successfully distributed $100,000 in financial assistance, provided by United Way, to 37 victims and their families. The disbursement, held at Max’s Restaurant, marks another important step in the community’s ongoing recovery efforts.
With this latest distribution, UFCABC has now supported a total of 114 beneficiaries. This progress reflects the organization’s continued commitment to delivering aid promptly while upholding transparency, accountability, and care for those most affected.
“This initiative goes beyond financial assistance—it is about standing with families during some of their most difficult moments,” said Mylene Lim, Vice President of UFCABC and Chair of Pinoy Vancouver Strong. “We remain deeply committed to carrying out this responsibility with openness, integrity, and accountability.”
The effort was made possible through the dedication of volunteers, board members, and community partners who continue to give their time and resources in service of others.
The gathering at Max’s Restaurant underscored a shared commitment to supporting victims with dignity and compassion. Every step of the process was carried out with care to ensure respect and empathy for all recipients.
