ConGen’s CoRNER

Magandang araw mga kababayan! First of all, I wish to thank Reyfort Media for providing us a space where we can provide updates and news that are relevant to our kababayan here in Canada. For this first outing of the ConGen’s corner, I wish to inform you of two major projects that the Consulate is undertaking:

First, we will be holding a Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for newcomers to BC, YT, and  NWT on 29 August 2026, Saturday. The seminar will be done virtually so that those outside of the Metro Vancouver area can still join the session. The following topics will be covered in the seminar: Resources for Newcomers;  Labor and Workplace Rights, and Career Resources.  Breakout rooms will also be available to provide consultation on settlement and newcomer services, legal concerns, and consular matters. The seminar is free of charge.
