The First Tagalog-speaking ward in British Columbia has been established within the Surrey BC Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Named the Surrey Fifth Ward, on March 15, 2026 at 6270 126th St. Surrey BC.

The congregation will be led by Bishop Rommel O. Galzote, with Joshua T. Clair and Ernesto C. Uy serving as his counselors. Larry Inlayo will act as the ward’s executive secretary and Jojo Alpuerto as the Ward Mission Leader to support the new community of Filipino members.
