Vancouver, March 22.—Lina Castillo-Alpuerto marked and celebrated her 60th birthday with at least 300 family members, co-workers, friends, and churchmates at the St. Patrick’s Gym on Main Street.
Lina works with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PSHA), is a member of the St. Mary the Virgin South Hill church and hails from Ilocos Norte.
For her birthday, the gym was decorated with green and red balloons, lights and flowers and a table with a multi-tiered birthday cake. A sumptuous and abundant spread including lechon, several meat dishes, rice (of course), fish, and Filipino veggie dishes and many types of dessert made sure everyone was fed and had seconds! The photo booth was a definite hit!
Lina’s children and her adorable grandchildren, many of them from Edmonton, presented her with songs and roses. Close friends gave their personalized messages of love and birthday wishes and lots of individual roses!
