VANCOUVER, BC — Family and friends gathered to witness the union of Jonathan and Janine as they were joined in holy matrimony during their wedding ceremony at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. The celebration continued with their wedding reception at Burnaby Lake Pavilion in Burnaby.
Jonathan and Janine first met as high school classmates, but their love story began some years later when they reconnected and grew closer as friends. When Jonathan began courting Janine, her youngest brother Jay often served as their bridge and friendly chaperone whenever the two spent time together.
Over time, their friendship grew into a deep and lasting love. Like many couples, their journey was not without a few differences and clashes of personality, yet it was also filled with laughter, shared memories.
After ten years of an on-and-off relationship that slowly grew stronger, Jonathan and Janine finally celebrated the special moment of becoming husband and wife. Surrounded by family and friends, their wedding day was a joyful celebration of commitment, family, and enduring love.
In a touching message of gratitude, the bride’s mother, Edith Malang, warmly thanked their family—especially those who traveled from out of town to be part of the celebration. She also expressed sincere appreciation to the wedding entourage, dear friends from the Filipino community, and all the guests whose presence made the day even more meaningful.
From their simple beginnings as classmates to a decade-long love story, Jonathan and Janine’s wedding is a beautiful reminder that true love grows stronger with time.
