True to their comedic flair, actors Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles turned their wedding into a laugh-filled affair, with Filipinos joking that the long-time couple finally made the “KimErald” ship official.
The comic couple tied the knot after a 12-year romance in a beach wedding ceremony at a luxury resort in Panglao, Bohol, on Sunday, March 1.
The reception continued the humor, delighting guests with comedic twists and playful surprises.
It involved Kim appearing on stage with actor Gerald Anderson instead of her husband, a playful reference to the “KimErald” tandem.
“KimErald” refers to the love team of former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemates Kim Chiu and Gerald.
The pair, who dated each other after their “PBB” stint, were together for four years.
At the wedding, Molina was spotted jokingly showing affection toward Gerald.
The moment earned laughs from Filipinos, who joked that the “Kimerald” tandem had become the endgame.
Jerald, Molina’s husband, also joined the fun by having TV host and anchor Kim Atienza appear onstage with him.
“Nalito lang kasi kami…” Kim Molina joked in an Instagram post, adding winking face and a peace sign gesture.
The famous portmanteau of “KimErald” can also be applied to the couple, who share the same first names.
Molina’s post has earned 502,000 likes and several comments from Filipinos who found the concept amusing.
Jerald and Kim first met in the musical play “Rak of Aegis” in 2014. They began dating that year but only confirmed their relationship in 2019.
By 2024, the couple had gotten engaged at the PETA Theater Center, the same place where they first met.
Both are individually known for their comic roles onscreen and for their humorous, playful personalities in real life. (J. Malasig/Interakyon)
