Actress and TV host Karla Estrada spoke out against online attacks targeting her daughter, Lella Ford, saying the situation has gone beyond criticism.
In a strongly worded post, Estrada condemned what she described as “below-the-belt” remarks directed at her child and warned that legal action may follow.
She revealed that the profiles of those posting harmful comments have already been forwarded to her cyber libel team.
“Nasasanay tayo na mag-bash lang nang hindi ninyo iniisip na naka-tiwangwang ang mga profile ninyo, kasama nga ang anak, mga magulang, at pamilya ninyo. Pinadala lang sa akin ito ng cyber libel team. Hindi ninyo kailangang mag-lock ng profile nyo, mache-check din kasi lahat. Sige lang, mabastos lang kayo, may balik lahat,” she wrote.
Estrada also cautioned netizens that hiding behind private or locked accounts would not shield them from being identified.(J. Valdez/ Manila Standard)
