Roast Goose King BBQ officially celebrated its grand opening at Kingsway’s Crystal Mall with a lively and culturally rich event that welcomed community leaders, supporters, and guests just in time for Chinese New Year. The opening marked a significant milestone for the restaurant and added new flavor to one of Burnaby’s most vibrant food destinations.
The ceremony was led by CEO Bruce Liang, whose vision and dedication brought Roast Goose King BBQ to life. The restaurant opened its former store in China in 1986 and now has 20 locations including Burnaby. He was joined by distinguished guests including the Mayor of Burnaby, MLA Raj Chauhan, MLA George Chow, MLA Paul Choi, and MLA Anne Kang, all of whom attended to show their support for local business growth and multicultural entrepreneurship.
Adding to the spirit of unity and cross-cultural support, Filipino community advocates Zeny and Vic Villamera were also in attendance, demonstrating the strong ties between communities and the shared celebration of success.
Festivities were in full swing as a traditional dragon dance energized the crowd, symbolizing good fortune, prosperity, and strength for the year ahead. Guests were delighted by the appearance of the God of Wealth, who walked through the mall spreading joy and well wishes in true Chinese New Year fashion.
Timed perfectly with the Lunar New Year, the grand opening of Roast Goose King BBQ was more than just a business launch—it was a celebration of culture, community, and new beginnings.
