Former TV host and actress Kris Aquino recently revealed a life-threatening medical incident she experienced during a routine procedure, which caused her lungs to collapse for nearly two minutes.

“THANK YOU for continuing to pray for me to get better, for having FAITH that God will make all things possible,” she wrote in a post last week.

“I haven’t fully processed what happened, it was supposed to be a minor PICC LINE procedure BUT there was a span of time totaling almost 2 minutes when my lung stopped functioning – I stopped breathing.”

The incident put her life at serious risk, but thanks to the quick intervention of her medical team, she was able to regain stability.

“Utang namin na buhay pa rin ako. The Holy Spirit guided my doctors and everyone in the OR,” Kris said, reflecting on her experience and expressing gratitude for the care she received.

Kris has been receiving treatment for her ongoing battle with multiple autoimmune diseases at St. Luke’s Medical Center in BGC, Taguig.

In previous posts, she consistently expressed appreciation for the support of her two sons, Bimby and Josh, who have been her source of strength through numerous surgeries, including this recent procedure.

Aside from sharing updates about her health, Kris has kept fans engaged with glimpses of her daily life on social media. Recently, photos surfaced of her getting a haircut with her hairstylist Jonathan Velasco, who wrote on Instagram: “New hair, same brave spirit. Madam Kris Aquino is on the mend!” (A. Negad/Malaya)
