Vancouver, BC —The Filipino-Canadian Community in British Columbia is mobilizing relief efforts following the devastating calamities that recently struck the Philippines, leaving thousands of families displaced and entire communities in urgent need of assistance.
In response, the United Filipino Canadian Associations in BC (UFCABC) has announced “SAGIP KABABAYAN: A Calamity Relief Benefit Show,” an event designed to raise funds and gather essential supplies for victims. Organizers say this initiative reflects the community’s unwavering commitment to bayanihan, the Filipino spirit of unity and mutual support.
“We may be far, but our hearts remain close to home,” UFCABC said in a statement. “This benefit show is our way of standing with those who are suffering, offering hope, and reminding them that they are not alone.”
