MANILA, Philippines — Anjo Yllana said that he was only bluffing when he made the remarks about Tito Sotto’s alleged mistress, adding that a ceasefire is reached after his conversation with the senator’s younger brothers, Vic and Maru Sotto.

Yllana spoke to entertainment site Pep.ph, where he shared the reason that led him to share his claims against the current Senate president.

The former “Eat Bulaga” co-host told Pep that politics was involved in his issue with Sotto, who is allied with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

He shared that he was attacked by bashers who he claimed were from Sotto’s camp because of his opinions against the government.

He cited some of his followers who asked him to talk to Sotto about his promise to give his salary to students.

“So, nanawagan ako. Kumbaga, ‘yung trolls at followers ni Tito Sen, medyo nagagalit sa akin,” Anjo said. He said that because he called the attention of the senator, Sotto published the receipt that showed he fulfilled his promise.

Anjo said that the bashers kept going at him, and it prompted him to air those explosive remarks.

Anjo said.

Talk with Vic, Maru

The former “Eat Bulaga” host then revealed that he had a heated talk with Vic and Maru, the younger brothers of Tito.

He said he understood the anger of Vic and Maru since their older brother was named in the issue. He defended himself by saying he was minding his business until the bashers kept on bashing him, with some even hitting him below the belt.

After a few minutes of heated exchanges, they agreed on a ceasefire. Anjo said that they found that they had a “misunderstanding, miscommunication.”

Maru and Vic also stressed that Tito has no trolls, which Anjo said he did not believe.

(Philstar)
