Congratulations to Maria Greaves, the proud owner of Mina Mar Pinoy & Asian Store, on the successful Grand Opening held last Saturday, October 25, at 11:00 AM in Surrey, BC. The new store promises one of the go-to destination for Filipino and Asian foods and services, offering a wide variety of authentic products that bring a taste of home to everyone.
The event was lively and well-organized, hosted by Joseph Lopez and Salve Dayao, with music performed by Ed and Salve Dayao. Lina Dela Cruz provided the beautiful flower arrangements, while Plato Filipino prepared the delicious catering and food packs. ReyFortMedia provided media coverage for the occasion.
One of the highlights was the raffle draw, where every $25 purchase gave shoppers a chance to win exciting prizes – a Gift Basket from Shopper’s Drug Mart, a Gift Basket from SBOT, and Halloween Gummy Bears.
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was led by the owner Maria Greaves and Miguel Lim, together with Vilma and Maria, Pastor Frank Yepez offered prayers before Father Sarate’s blessing. Then followed by blessing of the store by Father Rufo “Junji” Sarate of OLGC. Guests enjoyed coin’s shower, and sumptuous meal afterwards.
Everyone had a great time, shop, and celebrate the grand opening together. It was a day filled with joy, unity, and community spirit. Congratulations once again to Maria Greaves and her team on this exciting new beginning!
