Vice Ganda spotted in ‘Bubble Gang’ teaser: Here’s what we know

Long-running comedy show “Bubble Gang” is pulling out all the stops for its upcoming anniversary special, including a rare guest appearance by comedian and “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda.

A teaser released Sunday, October 12, confirmed Vice will join “Bubble Gang” mainstay Michael V, reprising his popular character Mr. Assimo, in the two-part special airing on October 19 and 26.

Vice’s appearance marks a notable crossover in Philippine comedy, as she is best known for her work with ABS-CBN and “It’s Showtime,” while “Bubble Gang” airs on GMA Network.

Hints of the collaboration surfaced as early as late September, when Vice shared a photo on her Instagram Story featuring a bouquet and a note that read:
“Dear Vice, Thank you for guesting! Batang Bubble ka na!”

The post sparked speculation among fans about a potential Bubble Gang guesting, which was later confirmed by the show’s teaser.

The anniversary special is expected to include nostalgic sketches and character revivals, with Mr. Assimo, known for his signature “Assimo!” punchline, at the center of the comedy reunion.

“Bubble Gang,” which first aired in 1995, remains the longest-running sketch comedy show on Philippine television. The upcoming episodes are part of its continuing celebration of nearly three decades on air( Interaksyon with J. Liong)
