This October, GMA On Demand on Xfinity proudly celebrates Filipino American History Month (FAHM) with a compelling line-up of programs that honor the stories, journeys, and contributions of Filipinos living abroad—especially those in the United States.

I-Witness: A is for Big Apple

This documentary takes you to New York City, where Filipino teacher Chito Atienza teaches English to immigrants—but his classroom is more than just a place to learn. It’s a space of hope, stories, and dreams, where students find their voice as they begin their new life in America.

Becoming Pinoy: Talilo Marfil—A Filipino American History Month Special

Meet Talilo Marfil, a Filipino-American artist and educator whose story touches on identity, creativity, and community. It’s a personal look at what it means to grow up Filipino in the U.S. and how culture shapes who we become.

Hanap ng Puso: Jerico in Finland

In the premiere episode, we meet Jerico Sotto, a Filipino migrant in Finland whose quiet strength carries the weight of hope. To make ends meet, he and his wife, Bea—who holds a student pathway visa and is Jerico’s dependent—collect recyclable cans and bottles, trading them in for money they can use for groceries.

Hanap ng Puso: Jelyn in Barcelona

At the center of this story is Jelyn Dimaculangan, a Batangueña content creator and entrepreneur who co-manages the century-old bakery Cal Cabré 1910 with her Spanish husband, Chef Jaume. Their partnership is more than just a love story—it’s a cultural fusion that’s turning heads and winning hearts. 

This second episode takes us to the heart of Barcelona to discover how one Filipina’s love for heritage and flavor is making waves in the world of tapas.
