For the first time in 32 years, Canada’s Blue Jays are heading to baseball’s championship series. The last time Toronto made a visit to the fall classic, it was legendary names like Carter, Molitor, and Gaston that were running the show. For this edition of the MLB’s playoff finale, it’s Guerrero, Springer and Schneider at the helm.

After falling behind 2-0 to Seattle in the ALCS, the Jays stormed their way back to even the series with 2 big wins in the Emerald City. Dropping game 6 to the Mariners meant that Game 7 would be taking place on Monday night. It was one to remember. George Springer took inspiration from Joe Carter, Jose Bautista, and Edwin Encarnacion, when he hit a 3-run homer to left field.

From the packed bars of downtown Toronto to small-town gatherings in the Maritimes and Prairies, the energy has been high. Videos have been going viral of celebrations and reactions from across Canada.

Now, as the team prepares for the biggest stage in baseball, anticipation is sky-high. The players know the weight of history that rests on their shoulders, but also the pride of an entire nation rallying behind them. With momentum, confidence, and a roster built for the moment, the Toronto Blue Jays are ready to chase glory.
