Bianca Umali asks NAIA officials for more seating in Terminal 3 amidst construction

Kapuso actress Bianca Umali appealed to the authorities running the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for more seats in the facility for passengers and guests. In her Instagram Stories earlier this week, she shared some snaps of what Terminal 3 currently looks like–– several passengers could be seen sitting  on the floor.

The NAIA Terminal 3 is currently renovating its facilities to give the passengers a better experience when traveling. 

Netizens were quick to post a screenshot of Bianca’s concern on social media to also share their concerns after seeing the situation. In her post, she penned an open letter for the officials and hopes that her request could be accommodated. 

“With all due respect po, we understand that our airports are currently under construction–– as you’ve said, ‘we are building a better NAIA for you.’ Dahil dito naiintindihan po namin sa maraming kagamitan at upuan ang pansamantalang inalis upang magbigay-daan sa mas maayos na konstruksyon,” she wrote.

Despite the ongoing construction, the Kapuso star expressed her concern after seeing some elderly passengers and those with children sitting on the floor due to the lack of chairs found at the terminal. 

“Ngunit nakikiusap lang po… Kung maaari po sana ay makapaglagay man lang ng mga temporary chairs o kahit simpleng upuan para sa mga pasaherong naghihintay ng kanilang flights–– lalo ng po para sa ating mga nanay, lola, at mga batang kababayan na bumabyahe,” she suggested

“Para naman po sana, kahit sa gitna ng pagbabago, ay hindi na po nila kailangang umupo sa sahig habang naghihintay. Maraming salamat po sa inyong pag-unawa at malasakit,” she ended.  

Fans of Bianca agreed with her request and are hopeful that the NAIA officials would listen to her. Other netizens also discussed the issue and voiced their concerns on various social media platforms.

“Kahit man lang mono block chairs grabe! Nakaka diri kaya pag ganyan kung saan saan tumatapak ang sapatos mo obviously nahahawakan mo rin yan sahig pag naka upo hay naku,” a fan expressed. 

“Nakahihiya sa mga turista kagaya ng SG, HK..BKK. Ang ganda ng terminal nila pro sa Pinas ang gulo at masikip. Wala mng lang upuang malambot katulad sa SG. Upholstered mga upuan nila at my charger bawat upuan,” another netizen shared.
