Kapamilya actress Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo denied that she is endorsing any cookware product on social media. The celebrity mom cautioned her followers in a recent episode of Jodi Sta. Maria’s vlog where she talked about the AI-generated image of herself and her family selling pots.
Judy Ann is one of the few celebrities that have been targeted by the use of AI on social media to promote fake products.
“Kayong nag-A-AI ng pagmumukha ko para makabenta kayo ng pots and pans, bad yun [at] hindi tama yun,” she shared.
The Kapamilya star wanted to clarify this as some netizens have been believing the AI-generated photos of not just herself but her entire family as well. She maintained that it’s a scam as she hasn’t been endorsing or selling any cookware brand as of this writing.
“Just to notify everyone, wala po akong binebentang pots and pans. Kasi naka AI ako, si Ryan, and the kids selling pots, a pressure cooker, and some pumpkin pan or something–– wala po. Wala po akong binebenta, it’s a scam. Hindi ako nag bebenta ng kahit na anong cookware, please do not believe these people,” she added.
Judy Ann expressed to her fans that her official pages are the only legitimate source of news for her–– any brands that she’ll be endorsing will be on her verified accounts.
“Hangga’t di niyo po nakikita sa sarili kong Instagram page which is officialjuday or officialjudayph, hindi po yan legit. So please be very careful,” she maintained.
She then made light of the situation as she assured her fans she hasn’t sold anything–– even if it’s her own organs or consciousness.
“Wala po akong binebentang kahit na ano. Kahit lapay ko hindi ko binebenta, kahit yung budhi ko–– malinis po yung budhi ko hindi ko po ito ibebenta at all,” she ended.
Just recently, Judy Ann shared on her Instagram account about Facebook pages using an AI-generated image of her promoting their product. She has since then refuted the claim and asked her followers to be vigilant. (D. Acierto/push.com/abs-cbn)
