Popular Latin singer Enrique Iglesias congratulated his mother, Philippine-born Spanish style icon Isabel Preysler, on the publication of her autobiography.

The pop artist shared a picture of his younger self with the matriarch, who was born to Carlos Preysler, an executive at the Philippine Airlines and Bank of the Philippine Islands, and Beatriz Arrastia, daughter of a wealthy landowner in Pampanga.

“Congratulations to my mom on her autobiography. What an incredible life,” Enrique wrote on Instagram on October 2.

His post has garnered over 168,000 likes and numerous comments, including one from Filipino TV news personality Kim Atienza.

“Your mom is one of the most beautiful Pinays,” Kim wrote, accompanied by a heart emoji.

“Oh! A Filipina Beauty.. ” another Instagram user commented.

“Beautiful Filipina,” a different online user said with fire and clapping emojis.

Last September, Isabel announced that her autobiography, “My True Story,” would be released in bookstores on October 22.

“In these pages, I travel through the different chapters of my life, from my childhood in the Philippines to almost today, and I share, for the first time, some of my most intimate memories. Hope you like it,” she wrote, as translated from Spanish.

Isabel also described the book as her “most personal project.”

Enrique is one of Isabel’s children from her marriage to the iconic Spanish singer Julio Iglesias.

Isabel spent her early years in the Philippines, where she reportedly made waves as a teenage model and beauty queen who pursued her studies at the Assumption Convent.

When her parents discovered that she had fallen in love with Junie Kalaw, a would-be environmentalist ten years her senior and a man rumored to have been a playboy at the time, they sent her away to Spain.

Isabel continued her studies in the United Kingdom before returning to Spain, where she became a fixture in high society. (J. Malasig/Interaksyon)
