Drive & Dish Basketball Club will launch the Mayor Brenda Locke’s Cup on Sunday, October 5, 2025, kicking off a threemonth, biannual community basketball league. Weekend games run Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM through the season, offering flexible hours for players and families.
The league features five (5) divisions designed to promote inclusion, cultural celebration and intergenerational engagement:
- – Open to All Races
- – All Filipino
- – Youth (in partnership with Rommel Emata of Resilience Basketball)
- – Masters 40+
- – Super Masters 48+
“By intentionally combining inclusion, cultural celebration and targeted support, we’re making basketball accessible to everyone,” said John Raganit, Drive & Dish Basketball Club President. He thanked Mayor Brenda Locke for partnering on the Mayor’s Cup and acknowledged Sports Consultant Rey Fortaleza and Miss Noemi Victorino for their coordination with the Mayor’s Office.
Organizers say the format supports players of all ages and backgrounds — from youth development through Resilience Basketball to competitive and recreational opportunities for older athletes — while building community connections on and off the court.
