British Columbia-based, Filipino-Canadian, Kayla Noelle Sanchez is ready to make waves at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, proudly carrying the Philippine flag. 

A world-class swimmer with international experience, Kayla has qualified in multiple events, including the 200m Freestyle (2:01.41 OTS), 50m Butterfly (27.46s OTS), 100m Backstroke (1:02.38 OTS), 100m Freestyle (55.00s OTS), 50m Backstroke (29.00s OTS), 50m Freestyle (25.38s OTS), making her one of the strongest medal contenders.

After switching federations in 2022 to represent her Filipino roots, Kayla has inspired countless young swimmers by proving that Filipinos can compete at the highest level. More than chasing gold, she carries the pride of being an Olympian and the dream of lifting Philippine swimming onto the global stage.

As the SEA Games unfold this December, Olympian Kayla Sanchez is set to inspire the country once again, powering through the water with heart and determination.
