MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya star and comedian Vice Ganda took a swipe at the corrupt government officials amid renewed disdain for contractors of various lood control projects
Vice is in London, United Kingdom for the “ASAP in England” concert taking place on August 30 in the BP Pulse Arena.
In an Instagram story, the comedian shared they and their companions save money in the British capital because of the high prices of restaurant food.
“Super tipid ako dito sa London kasi ang mahal. Kaya namalengke na Iang kami nung first day at nagluto dito sa Airbnb,” Vice said.
“Pangatlong araw na naming iniinit ‘tong natirang adobo. Tapos bigla kong naalala ‘yung milyon-milyon kong tax na pinaghahati-hatian ng mga garapal na magnanakaw. Aray koooo!!!!”
Though Vice did not name any corrupt official, the Philippines is currently investigating contractors of different flood control projects across the country.
The comedian recently brought laughter and criticism with their own interpretation of the popular “Jet 2 Holiday” meme during their “Superdivas” concert with Regine Velasquez.
Many online users interpreted Vice’s “Jetski Holiday” skit as a reference to tensions in the West Philippine Sea and former President Rodrigo Duterte’s incarceration at The Hague, Netherlands.
The jet ski reference is believed to stem from Duterte’s 2016 campaign promise that he would raise the Philippine flag on the contested Spratly Islands.
Duterte later said in 2021 that it was a joke, calling those who believed it as “stupid.”
