Vancouver, B.C. August 9, 2025 – The True North Hinirang Eagles Club once again
demonstrated its unwavering commitment to service by hosting a monthly feeding program for the less fortunate and homeless residents of Downtown Eastside at Oppenheimer Park. Guided by its motto, “Ready to serve. Ready to care,” the initiative provided warm meals and genuine care to members of the community facing hardship.
This monthly program is just one of the club’s continuing humanitarian efforts. Beyond feeding programs, the Eagles are actively engaged in clean-up drives to promote a cleaner and greener environment, along with other outreach initiatives that support vulnerable groups across the city.
By combining compassionate action with community responsibility, the club strives to uplift lives while fostering dignity and hope.
The August 9 event also coincided with the club’s fourth General Membership Meeting (GMM), where members reaffirmed their dedication to service and discussed future projects to further expand the club’s impact.
“Our mission goes beyond providing food, it is about extending kindness, building connections, and showing people that they are valued members of our community,” a representative of the club shared. “Through consistent efforts like these, we hope to inspire others to join us in making our neighborhoods stronger, cleaner, and more compassionate.”
The True North Hinirang Eagles Club continues to be a beacon of service in the Filipino- Canadian and wider Vancouver community, reminding everyone that even the smallest acts of care can create lasting change.
