Kapamilya actress Yen Santos broke her silence and shared some details she learned after her breakup with her ex-boyfriend. In her first ever YouTube vlog, she expressed how happy she was to get out of the relationship and was happy to talk about it now.
Yen didn’t disclose the name of the ex-boyfriend she was talking about in the vlog. Her last known relationship to the public was actor Paolo Contis who first confirmed their relationship back in 2023.
When asked what happened to her last relationship, she breathed a sigh of relief as she signaled that she is blessed to have ended it with the person.
“Napakalaking blessing na natapos na yun. Malaking blessing na nagising na ako sa nightmare na yun and I walked away kasi hindi talaga worth it,” she shared.
Yen maintained that it wasn’t worth wasting her time and energy on someone who was “controlling” her.
“That kind of life drains you and you lose yourself in the process. Hindi mo gugustuhin talaga yung ganun klaseng buhay,” she added.
The Kapamilya actress then shared how walking away was one of the best decisions she made as it allowed her to be free from the relationship. She recalled how her ex-boyfriend wasn’t the same person she first met as he wasn’t showing his true colors then.
“The person I met at the beginning, that wasn’t really him. The one I saw at the end, yun talaga siya. Siyempre sa una, hindi naman yan mag papakilala ng totoong pagkatao nila eh. Gagawin nila lahat para makuha yung loob mo tapos kapag nakuha na yng loob mo, unti unti na yan. Doon na lalabas yung totoong pagkatao nila,” she said.
Yen admitted that she was blinded at the start so she was trying to justify what her ex-boyfriend was doing and saying.
“Naniwala ako sa lahat ng mga pinakita nung una kahit gaano ko jinujustify dati na okay naman kami, masaya naman kami pero you know deep down, may mga taong nasaktan sa maling choices mo. It was wrong. Para sa akin, yung ganun klaseng tao matatauhan ka talaga kapag ganun ka trinatrato,” she continued.
She advised her followers to be cautious of those kinds of people–– someone who would love bomb you at the start of your relationship. She warned and maintained her stand that they will be manipulated if they don’t take action.
Yen then showed remorse to the people who she hurt during her relationship with her ex-boyfriend.
“Para po doon sa mga taong nasaktan ko nung mga panahon na yun, I am so sorry. Wala po akong excuse dun. Mali po talaga ako. Nagkamali ako,” she said.
Despite this, the Kapamilya actress expressed that she is at peace now and is glad everything is over.
“Ngayon, ang mahalaga tapos na and mas maayos na yung takbo ng buhay ngayon,” she shared. (D. Acierto/Push.com)
