LOS ANGELES — Manny Jacinto, who plays Lindsay Lohan’s Filipino leading man in “Freakier Friday,” is coming to Manila to be with fans at the film’s big Philippine premiere.

The film is the much-awaited sequel to the 2003 blockbuster hit starring Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

“Hi, Philippines! I will be coming to visit to promote the film, ‘Freakier Friday.’ I hope to see you guys there soon,” he said in the video that Disney provided exclusively for ABS-CBN News.

Jacinto, who was raised in Vancouver, Canada, is the son of Lito and Emy Jacinto, originally from the Philippines.

In the movie, he plays Eric Reyes, a chef and single dad who caught the eye of Lohan’s character Anna. “It’s my first role as a tatay,” he said.

One of the most successful Filipino talents in Hollywood, Jacinto also starred as the villain in the Star Wars Disney+ series “The Acolyte”. His breakout role was in the critically acclaimed comedy series “The Good Place” where he also played the beloved Filipino character Jason Mendoza.

The full interview with Manny Jacinto talking about his “Freakier Friday” starring role will be out next week on ABS-CBN News. “Freakier Friday” will hold its Manila premiere on August 5 and out in Philippine theaters on August 6. (Y. Chavez/abs-cbn)
