On July 3rd, A Night of Too Many Chefs returned to Vancouver with a special Filipinx All-Star Edition, held at the Museum of Vancouver. The fundraiser brought together ten acclaimed Filipino chefs—including TJ Conwi, Alden Ong, and Andrea Alridge—who showcased dishes inspired by tradition and personal stories. Guests were treated to bold, nostalgic flavours that celebrated Filipino heritage, creating a memorable evening of food, culture, and connection.

The event was more than just a dinner, it emphasized food recovery, cultural connection, and community healing following the Lapu-Lapu tragedy. Guests experienced a variety of food stations, live music, and a special documentary screening, all celebrating the richness of Filipino heritage.

Organized by Caroline Boquist and Chef TJ Conwi, with community support and sponsorship UFCABC and the Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview – Christian Cunanan, Rene Alcantara and Ernesto Ong of UFCABC and the Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview, sponsors of food stations serving traditional Filipino food and fusion from some of the local Filipino owned restaurants representatives namely Bennette, Rio and staff of Plato Filipino, Kulinarya Filipino Eatery on Commercial Drive, Antonio Martin – of Haven and Jhay from Pampanga Cuisine in Vancouver. A meaningful night that brought people together through food, history, and healing.
