Surrey, BC — On June 26th, Lita Cabal, former Conservative candidate for Member of Parliament in Vancouver East, hosted a public Meet and Greet and Townhall Discussion featuring special guest MP Garnett Genuis of Sherwood Park—Fort Saskatchewan, who currently serves as the Shadow Minister for Employment.

We are honoured to have Pacific Link College in Surrey as our venue for this important event. A special thank you goes to Aarod De Penha, Director of Pacific Link College and a supporter of Lita Cabal, for generously allowing the use of one of the school’s classrooms.

The event attracted a diverse group of attendees, including members of the local Filipino communities, who joined in to discuss the pressing issues around employment and workforce development in Canada. A notable supporter, Rey Fortaleza, a strong Conservative voice and founder of Reyfort Media Group, was also in attendance to offer his backing and insights on the future of Canadian employment.

The discussion focused on labor shortages, youth unemployment, support for small businesses, and the future of skilled trades in Canada. MP Genuis also underscored the need for a comprehensive economic strategy that fosters job growth and creates a sustainable future for all Canadians.

His experience and advocacy on employment issues are incredibly relevant to the concerns of our community. This townhall is a great opportunity to hear directly from a national leader and discuss real solutions.

MP Genuis emphasized the need for responsible governance and economic policies that empower Canadians to build a stronger, more resilient economy.

The event concluded with an open Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with both Genuis and Cabal on employment issues and broader community concerns.
