Richmond, BC — Mark your calendars for a day of golf, community spirit, and charitable giving at the 3rd Annual Golf Friendly Tournament, organized by the National Association of Mapua Alumni ofBritish Columbia (NAMA BC)in partnership with the Filipino Canadian Construction Society (FCCS). The event is scheduled for Sunday, July 20, 2025, and will be held at the picturesque Country Meadows Golf Course in Richmond.
This annual tournament is more than just a day on the greens — it’s a powerful fundraiser dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and young Filipinos in need. Proceeds from the event will support Bahay Aruga, a free halfway house in the Philippines that provides shelter and care for pediatric cancer patients and their families. Additionally, the funds will help empower young Filipinos through the FCCS Scholarship program.
While all holes for sponsorship have been filled, the organizers still welcome donations and sponsorship support to maximize the event’s impact. Community members and organizations can contribute by making monetary donations or sponsoring other aspects of the event, ensuring that the cause continues to receive the support it needs.
Several local businesses and community members have already stepped up as sponsors, with their names proudly displayed at various holes across the course. Each contribution helps bring hope and support to children battling cancer and their families, as well as young Filipino scholars pursuing their dreams.
