“Hurricane” Hyder Amil is one of the latest asian sensations in the UFC. Undefeated and with a style that is reminiscent of the Korean Zombie, he is a tough puzzle to solve while he is punching you in the face.
He returns this weekend on the UFC’s biggest card of the year. 4-0 in the UFC including a win on Dana White’s Contender Series had lead Amil to the precipice of stardom. Filipino representation has historically been lacking with less than a handful of fighters. While there was a lot of hype for Mark Munoz and Brandon Vera, by the time it’s all over Amil might be at the top of the mountain.
After his viral performance against Lee Jeong-Yeong, where he landed a combination that rivals those from tekken, Amil won a dog fight against another promising fighter in William Gomis. An all-action fighter and 10-0 throughout his career, Amil is ready to take the next step and impress on the big PPV stage.
