Premier David Eby spent much of day 4 travelling from Japan to Malaysia and arriving late afternoon in Kuala Lumpur.
Once in Kuala Lumpur Premier Eby met with Petronas and Gentari Renewable Energy.
- Contributing 15% to the Government of Malaysia revenues, Petronas are also a 25% owner of the C$40 billion LNG Canada project in Kitimat, B.C., the second largest shareholder after Shell. Shipments are expected to begin in mid-2025.
- Gentari is the clean energy arm of Petronas making large-scale investments into green and blue hydrogen, wind power and green mobility.
