Fil-Can Pickleball Club Donates Funds to Support Lapu-Lapu Victims

Vancouver, BC — On June 3rd, the Fil-Can Cultural Heritage Society, through its Fil-Can Pickleball Club, proudly handed over donation cheques raised during the May 18 Pickleball Tournament held in support of the victims of the tragic Lapu-Lapu incident in the Philippines.

The following recipients received the funds on behalf of the beneficiaries:

• One La Salle Alumni Association of BC, represented by a member who has direct contact with a co-parishioner affected by the tragedy.
• Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview, represented by Ernie Ong and Bert Parungao, who will ensure the donations reach the appropriate recipients.

The Fil-Can Pickleball Club extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, sponsors, and supporters who made the fundraising event a success.
